The Brisbane Centre for the World Transformation Movement
The WTM Brisbane Centre was established by long-standing World Transformation Movement Member, Aggie Seiler. Aggie is a clinical nurse working in child and youth mental health services. She is married with two children, and was excited to set up the first Queensland Centre in 2017!
What is this all about?
While humans are capable of great love, we also have an unspeakable history of brutality, rape, murder and war. Despite all our marvellous accomplishments, we have been the most ferocious and destructive force that has ever lived on Earth — and the eternal question has been ‘why?’
Even in our everyday behaviour, why have we humans been so competitive, selfish and aggressive when clearly the ideals of life are to be cooperative, selfless and loving? In fact, why are we so ruthlessly competitive, selfish and brutal that human life has become all but unbearable and we have nearly destroyed our own planet?!
The agony of being unable to truthfully answer this fundamental question of are we good or bad, has been the particular burden of human life. It has been our species’ particular affliction or condition — our ‘human condition’.
So while much attention has been given to the need to love each other and the environment, the deeper, real need has been for us humans to be able to love the dark side of ourselves — to have the reconciling understanding of our ‘good-and-evil’-afflicted human condition!
And that is what the World Transformation Movement is all about — presenting and promoting that dreamed-of breakthrough biological explanation of the human condition that alone is able to end all the agony, frustrations, suffering and destruction in the world.
Finding the scientific solution to our troubled, psychologically upset, human-condition-afflicted existence finally enables the human race to be healed and transformed.
In this short video, biologist Jeremy Griffith outlines his breakthrough explanation of the human condition. It explains that when humans developed a conscious mind some 2 million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our pre-established instincts.
Jeremy explains that this conflict between our intellect and instincts caused our species to become psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric — the aggressive and competitive state we refer to as the human condition. And with the ability now to finally understand this conflict, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end — we are freed from the human condition! Read more about this biological explanation at HumanCondition.com.
MUST, MUST WATCH: Craig Conway, the acclaimed British actor, writer, producer and broadcaster — and the founder of WTM North East England Centre — has brought all his skills to bear to produce the ideal introduction to Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition in this absolutely astonishing, world-changing and world-saving interview with Jeremy. It’s called ‘THE’ Interview because in it Jeremy gives such a concise and accessible summary of his world-saving explanation of the human condition that it’s nothing less than the most important interview of all time!

News from WTM Brisbane
Of late I have been enjoying rewatching the Personal Transformation Affirmation videos, and at one point in Tony Miall’s video, he grabs Jeremy’s book A Species In Denial and randomly opens a page and begins to read from it. It’s perfect. So, while thinking about this month’s post, I thought I would do the same. I’m picking up my copy of FREEDOM… opening it up to… page 53… paragraph 72:
“Our ability now to explain and understand that we are actually all good and not bad enables all the upset that resulted from being unable to explain the source of our divisive condition to subside and disappear. Finding understanding of the human condition is what rehabilitates and transforms the human race from its psychologically upset angry, egocentric and alienated condition. In fact, the word ‘psychiatry’ literally means ‘soul-healing’ (derived as it is from psyche meaning ‘soul’ and iatreia, which according to The Encyclopedic World Dictionary means ‘healing’) — but we have never before been able to ‘heal our soul’, explain to our original instinctive self or soul that our fully conscious, thinking self is good and not bad and, by so doing, reconcile and heal our split selves. As Professor Harry Prosen, the former president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association to whom I am eternally grateful for writing his deeply appreciative Introduction to this book, has said about the psychological effect of this all-loving, all-compassionate understanding of ourselves: ‘I have no doubt this biological explanation of the human condition is the holy grail of insight we have sought for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.’ Yes, our ability now to understand the dark side of ourselves means we can finally achieve the ‘wholeness for humans’ that the analytical psychologist Carl Jung was forever pointing out ‘depends on the ability to own our own shadow’. As this picture powerfully intimates, we have needed, and now have, the key that liberates the human mind from the underlying deep, dark, psychological trauma of the human condition!” (Chapter 1:3, para72, FREEDOM)
How good is that! Top to bottom, front to back, no matter what page you open, Jeremy’s books are full of compassionate and relieving truth about us upset humans, bringing light (understanding) to our lives and by doing so freeing us and saving the world.
Over the weekend I was doing some much-needed filing and I found a few printed copies of Freedom Essay 46! While I hadn’t read it in a while, that I had so many copies of it made me think that it must have struck a deep chord. This is a very moving essay about the ultimate paradox of human life – how are we good when we appear to be bad. The title of the essay Anne Frank’s and Olive Schreiner’s vision of a human-condition-resolved peaceful world, and counsel from others, like Sir James Darling, who stressed the desperate need for that breakthrough says it all. Here are the first few paragraphs:
‘Anne Frank’s belief that peace would one day come to the human race
In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart… I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness, I hear the ever approaching thunder, which will destroy us too, I can feel the sufferings of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too will end, and that peace and tranquillity will return again. (Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl, 1947)
Despite facing unimaginable horrors brought about by our species’ capacity for destruction and depravity, the extraordinary diarist and Holocaust victim Anne Frank’s faith in the basic goodness of all humans remained intact.
In fact, in writing that ‘people are really good at heart’, Anne displayed the hope, faith and trust in our species’ goodness that has allowed humanity to carry on throughout its often violent history, a faith that has finally been borne out by science making it possible to explain the human condition (see Video/F. Essay 3 and chapters 1 & 3 of FREEDOM). While not condoning ‘evil’ in any form, this explanation of why our species has been capable of such horrific behaviour as the Holocaust, reveals that humans are fundamentally good—in fact, not just good but the heroes of the story of life on Earth!’
I thought this was such a great Facebook post from the WTM Facebook Community page that I’d share it here:
We noticed the post about the African tradition of ‘ubuntu’, ‘I am because you are’ spirit of soulful selflessness, and we wanted to remind everyone of Reginald Khotshobe’s marvellous video endorsement on our homepage (see www.humancondition.com/#commendations), where he also talks about ‘ubuntu’. If you haven’t watched Reggie’s video then it’s one of our best because it’s so calming and centering, which is not surprising since Reggie is of Bushman/San descent and is an ‘igqirha’ or ‘sangoma’ or spiritual healer amongst his people. It’s just so instructive and inspiring how Reggie says “I’ve always wanted a way to help people, I wanted to be free and do things the way I could see in my mind that it could be”, and that “After I left my work I found myself challenged in many ways but no matter how unbearable life became I hung onto the idea that there has to be a solution out there, and that maybe I’ll find it, maybe I won’t find it, I don’t know, but I’m not giving up on finding that solution for mankind”, and then he describes how he found Jeremy’s book FREEDOM and realised it was all that he’d been dreaming of in terms of the universal solution to the human condition. What clear, prophetic vision Reggie had, and what clear, prophetic endorsement Reggie has given this work!
Just thought I’d share some of the great commendations on the WTM’s website, this is a sample of some of the incredibly impressive comments there.
‘Nothing Dr. Prosen has said about the immense importance of this book is an exaggeration. This is the book all humans need to read for our collective wellbeing.’

This is a post I saw on Facebook and thought to put here. The discovery of this understanding is so powerful and this is a wonderful description:
Just came across this exquisite quote in Jeremy's book Beyond the Human Condition and had to share it with you all:
"To quote the final words in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical The Phantom of the Opera (1986); it’s over now, the music of the night. Great optimism, relief, fellowship and excitement emerges now. Light comes into our darkness and will spread across the Earth until there is no darkness left. Our music will change. Our ‘classical’ music expressed the greater truth of our true divinity, the truth that stood above the terrible suffering the human condition inflicted on us. We could identify with its message but we couldn’t relieve our condition. We waited in hope and faith for understanding. It was the music of the night. Now a new music will appear that expresses an extraordinary relief and happiness. A new world is coming for humans."
Hi all from sunny Queensland! I saw this great bit of history about the WTM and thought I’d share it, to quote from the website..."The WTM developed from the Foundation for Humanity’s Adulthood (FHA). Founded in Sydney in 1983 as the Centre for Humanity’s Adulthood, the FHA was incorporated in 1990 with the aims, as set out in its memorandum of association, of ‘understanding the human condition’ and ‘ameliorating the human condition’. The FHA’s work was founded on a long history of profound or ‘denial-free’ thinkers about the human condition dating back to Moses, Socrates, Plato and Christ, through to more contemporary profound, denial-free thinkers such as Charles Darwin, Teilhard de Chardin and Sir Laurens van der Post among others. In particular the FHA recognised the breakthrough biological synthesis of the human condition put forward by Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith. The WTM maintains the same aims as the FHA. To explain the earlier Foundation for Humanity’s Adulthood name and ‘key held aloft’ symbol: the crux problem on Earth has always been the human condition, the dilemma of our capacity for good and evil. This duality has troubled the human mind since we first became fully conscious, thinking beings: are humans essentially ‘good’ and, if so, what is the cause of our ‘evil’, destructive, insensitive and cruel side? Finding the biological understanding of what caused our contradictory natures is the key to ameliorating that condition; it matures humanity from insecure adolescence to secure adulthood."
Everything about our behaviour is tied into the psychological issue of the human condition. Everything. Jeremy’s essay on Humour is so revealing. I understand why this information has been explained as a revelation, because it can seem like it is something we have intuitively known for ever, and when Jeremy explains it to us, we go ‘oh yeah, I kind of knew that.’ It's revealing something that has always been there.
With regard to humour, as Jeremy writes at the outset of Freedom Essay 47: Humour and swearing explained, We take our developed sense of humour for granted now as being a natural part of our make-up, but it follows that there was a time, prior to becoming alienated and false, when the only comic situations were those that children — and, as has been witnessed in research situations, bonobos — find amusing, such as when a harmless trick is played on someone. The power of consciousness makes it possible to recognise and even create such silly and funny situations that delight our emerging minds, but it is only when the absurdly dishonest situation of the resigned, alienated human-condition-afflicted state emerged that the extremely ridiculous, fraudulent situations appeared in human life to laugh about and make fun of.”
The Transformed State
The ultimate outcome of finding the explanation of the human condition is the Transformed State. The explanation explains our fundamental goodness, but we need the Transformed State to live in accordance with that truth. Chapter 9, the mighty culmination of FREEDOM, is where Jeremy explains the importance and glory of the Transformed State. The following excerpt from chapter 9:2 sets the scene:
“YES, with understanding of the human condition now found, the human journey can have the happy ending we always believed it would. Achieving that ‘happy ending’, however, obviously requires that we allow the truth to live in our lives, which is an enormous adjustment that resigned humans will initially resist. So while we at last have the means to ameliorate the human condition, we still need to overcome the difficult responsibility of facing and accepting the truth about ourselves. As will now be explained, while the finding of understanding of the human condition is wonderfully liberating, it is also fearfully confronting — but, thankfully, as will also be explained in this final chapter, there is an all-exciting and all-relieving way to overcome this last great hurdle of our fear of exposure of our now immensely corrupted state or condition.”
End the human condition and you end all the world’s problems!
What is coming for the human race is just so exciting now. Solving the human condition is the key to solving everything because all the problems in the world (apart from natural disasters) are a result of our selfish, egocentric behaviour. If we can solve that, which Jeremy has, then it is possible for all humans to act to sensibly, and cooperatively, and there is no problem that can’t be solved if we all do that!
As an example, Jeremy writes in Chapter 9:9 of Freedom; How the Transformed Lifeforce Way of Living will quickly repair the world, “Imagine when communication technology is used only to spread reconciling truth rather than truthless, alienated, escapist, superficial drivel, as it is currently doing—how much relief that is going to bring to humans and thus our world? End the human condition and we end all the big problems of the world—and thus all the little problems too.”
Yes, it is just soooooo exciting what is coming. Again, as Jeremy writes in Chapter 9:9 of Freedom, “Our species’ redemption is so fabulous it will make humans fly through the air—well, almost! These all-loving-of-ourselves understandings are just pure wonderfulness, joy beyond description!”
I just want to write about chapter 6 of FREEDOM for a moment. Chapter 6.13 ‘Nurturing now becomes a priority’ begins, “Before progressing to those final chapters it needs to be emphasised that having found the compassionate biological understanding of the upsetting battle that humans have had to wage against the ignorance of our instinctive self as to the fundamental goodness of our conscious self, our species’ preoccupation with that battle can at last end and focus return to the nurturing of our children.”
It is so true that nurturing has suffered from the battle of the human condition, but we can now understand that, and the wonderful news, as Jeremy says, is that with the battle at last won, the focus can return to our children, which is how it was in the beginning.
The following image, which is by William Blake to illustrate Hesiod’s Golden Age, is from Freedom Essay 21.
As Jeremy points out in this Freedom Essay, the artist is intimating that it was nurturing that was the focus of the time before the human condition emerged, and he writes in 6.13, now that it has been solved, it will be the focus again.
Of course there has been the virus, but thanks to Jeremy’s understanding I am filled with optimism. We can all look forward to a future that is free of the angst and guilt and anger of the human condition. As Jeremy writes toward the end of FREEDOM, “Yes, with the battle to find understanding of the human condition over, relief will spread across the world. In particular, selfless love, concern and help can now come to every person in every corner of the world. To paraphrase U2’s fabulous anticipation of our species’ liberation from the agony of the human condition, ‘love has come to town’ in its absolute purest form, namely as the redeeming and relieving understanding that finally ends the insecure, egocentric, brutal and selfish way of living forever.”
And that love is already spreading. Queensland has been in lockdown because of the virus, but the WTM network has continued to grow, with more and more people coming on line, and talking about and sharing this wonderful information.
The sun really is rising on a wonderful new world for all of us, and I am just so happy to be a part of it all. Love and optimsism from Brisbane.
